Hello!

My name is Maria Luz Bustamante, a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2017, at your service. I enjoy being a Massage Therapist as I find it very rewarding being able to help people on their physical and spiritual health journey.

Galatians 6:9 "Don't get tired of helping others. You will be rewarded when the time is right, if you don't give up. We should help people whenever we can..." this just impresses in my soul.
I was born in Lima, Peru, and migrated here in 1988, at the age of 12, I have lived in Hartford, CT ever since. I worked for Connecticut Children's Medical Center for 20 years as a certified nursing assistant, and per my mom's recommendation, in 2017 I acquired a Massage Therapy License, from the Center of Massage Therapy in Newington, CT. Ever since then I have been polishing up on my massage repertoire with continuing education courses, acquiring a certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage, "the Vodder Method" and presently working on acquiring a certification in Orthopedic Massage by Whitney Lowe and Erik Dalton's Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques.  I am bilingual, in Spanish, I am a very active member of my church, involved in the translation ministry. I practiced 10 years of martial arts and hold a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I enjoy playing volleyball with my daughter and spending time with my grandchildren, and sons. I am very focused on eating the foods God calls foods and have experienced first hand its miraculous healing properties. 

A little about the name of my business: Ricky's Touch of Light Tehillah, is named after my late brother Ricardo who passed away in 2019. He had a DJ-ing business and loved music and singing. We lost him before his time tragically; he was a very kind and loving individual. He had a very caring and tenderhearted demeanor, and could speak into people's hearts with ease. The word Tehillah is a Hebrew word that means worship that comes from the soul, and each of us have our own melody! We just have to find it within us. This one was his:
